This site is dedicated to the memory of Tracey Walker.

I've created this page in memory of Tracey Ann Walker, a much loved Auntie, Daughter, Wife, Sister, and Step Mum, who sadly lost her fight with ovarian cancer on 4th March 1996. Although her death was over 15 years ago now, and I was just a child when she passed I still think of my Auntie every day, as I'm sure many of my family members still do. Finding out someone in your family has terminal cancer changes your life forever, and leaves you with so many questions. What if X/Y/Z had been different? Why someone I love? But such questions resonate especially when the person diagnosed is young. A popular assumption is that women under 30 cannot develop Ovarian Cancer and although rare, this does happen. My auntie found out she had cancer at 24 years old. I'm 23 years old now and the mere thought of it petrifies me so I can only imagine how she felt to be told such devastating news. My aunties cancer was originally misdiagnosed, and so when she finally found out her true diagnosis it was too late. Luckily, this scenario is less frequent now, due to increased research into the area and campaigns aimed at Ovarian Cancer awareness but it still happens.
